Steve Oda
Steve Oda began his musical education at the age of seven, learning to play slide guitar and then jazz guitar. His love for music eventually led him to the classical music of North India and the sarode, learning first in 1970 with Aashish Khan and then in 1973, with Aashish’s father, the legendary late Maestro Ali Akbar Khansahib.
Steve moved to the Bay area in 1996 to pursue intensive studies under Khansahib as both disciple and director of his music college. He has been blessed to perform internationally and currently resides in San Rafael, actively teaching and performing.
Tanmay Bichu
Tanmay Bichu began learning tabla since the age of 6, and has learned from stalwarts like Shree Manohar Pimpalaskar, Pt. Ramdas Palsule, Pt. Swapan Chaudhuri and Ustad Zakir Hussain. He actively performs in various Indian Classical and World Music concerts in India and the US.
